The role
As a Sub Contractor Controller, you\’ll be at the heart of our project delivery, managing subcontractors to ensure that Facility Management contracts are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is a dynamic role that offers the chance to grow your career in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment where your contributions directly support national defence and infrastructure.
Day-to-day, you\’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed scopes of work, defining timelines and budget cost
- Track subcontractor milestones to ensure alignment with agreed delivery schedules
- Ensure contractor activities meet safety and quality standards
- Lead contractor reviews and manage procurement packages
- Manage work orders and resources using IFS systems
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based onsite at Rosyth, Fife.
Essential experience of the Sub Contractual Controller:
- Experience in Facilities Management within a large industrial environment
- Proven ability to manage subcontractor relationships and project timelines
- Strong understanding of safety and compliance standards
- Experience with procurement and contract management
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems (e.g., IFS)
Qualifications for the Sub Contractual Controller:
- NC qualification in Engineering or Facilities Management
- IOSH qualification or equivalent
- IWFM Level 3 or 4 qualification or willingness to undertake training
