Overview
As an Engineering Officer Trainer, you will deliver high‑quality engineering education to military personnel.
This role blends engineering expertise with teaching to equip future Defence engineers with technical knowledge, problem‑solving ability and professional skills needed for critical operations.
- Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Deliver engineering studies lessons, technical training and academic instruction to military trainees.
- Develop training materials, lesson plans and blended learning resources.
- Assess and mark engineering projects, reports, presentations and assignments.
- Provide feedback, coaching and guidance to help learners achieve their full potential.
- Support continuous improvement, quality assurance and training programme development.
- Location & Working Hours
Onsite at MOD Lyneham; Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
- Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Appropriate and relevant engineering knowledge and industry experience.
- Appropriate academic knowledge and experience within an engineering environment.
- Experience supporting learning, training, mentoring or development activities.
- Knowledge of engineering principles across mechanical, electronic, aviation or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications for the Role
- Chartered Engineer status, or currently working towards Chartered Engineer status.
- Degree in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Aviation Engineering.
- Standard (BPSS) security clearance.
