Overview
As an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer, you\’ll be at the heart of supporting EDF\’s nuclear operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of fuel route works. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your technical expertise will directly contribute to the UK\’s energy security and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Apply high standards to fuel route work preparation and execution
- Provide technical fault finding, reporting and operational oversight
- Advise stakeholders including Senior Leadership, Operations and Engineering teams
- Prepare and execute fuel route work in line with safety policies
- Ensure compliance with site licence requirements and statutory regulations
- This is a full-time, onsite role based at Heysham 2 Power Station, near Morecambe, Lancashire, working 37 hours per week.
- Working with industrial control systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, drives, analogue systems)
- Delivering engineered solutions using electrical control equipment and instrumentation
- Fault finding and resolving engineering issues in a safe and effective manner
- Experience in nuclear or other regulated industries (e.g. petrochemical, pharmaceutical)
- Understanding of legislation, ACOP, Safe Systems of Work and industry standards
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (preferred)
