The role:
- Lead and motivate a team of skilled operatives to safely deliver defined packages of work to exacting quality, time and cost standards.
- Take ownership of production activities, drive efficiency improvements and play a key role in delivering major engineering projects.
Day-to-day, you'll be required to:
- Lead and motivate a team to safely deliver production work to agreed targets and standards.
- Manage workloads to meet contract requirements across cost, quality and delivery timescales.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and maintain a safe working environment.
- Set and monitor daily production targets to drive performance and accountability.
- Take ownership of operational activity levels and continuously improve efficiency.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth.
Essential experience:
- Demonstrating experience supervising teams in a mechanical or production environment.
- Managing resources effectively to deliver work within time, cost and quality constraints.
- Applying strong knowledge of safe working practices within an engineering setting.
- Driving performance through setting targets and monitoring output.
- Taking responsibility for production areas and maintaining high operational standards.
Qualifications:
- Time-served with extensive, recent and relevant experience in a mechanical discipline.
- ONC or HNC (or equivalent) in a related engineering subject - preferred but not essential.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
