This role is at the forefront of digital transformation for one of the UK’s most critical infrastructure projects. This is a unique opportunity to drive the strategic implementation and operational management of digital assets across the lifecycle of a major nuclear programme.

Day-to-day, you’ll lead the digital transformation of critical defence and nuclear projects at Babcock by managing digital assets, driving innovation and ensuring data integrity in a dynamic, inclusive and purpose-driven environment.

  • Define and implement digital asset management strategies aligned with project and regulatory requirements
  • Establish governance frameworks for data integrity, traceability and lifecycle management
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of digital tools (e.g. PLM, BIM, CAD)
  • Drive adoption of digital twin technologies and predictive maintenance models
  • Oversee the collection, validation and maintenance of asset data from design through decommissioning, ensuring data is structured and accessible for operational use, audits and regulatory reporting

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Digital Asset Integration Lead

  • Strong background in asset data management and operations within regulated industries (preferably nuclear or energy)
  • Experience with asset management and governance within digital platforms such as PLM, BIM, EAM, or digital twin technologies
  • Ability to understand nuclear safety, compliance, and lifecycle requirements
  • Strong communicator, able to work with multiple stakeholders

Qualifications for the Digital Asset Integration Lead

  • Educated to degree level or holds a relevant professional qualification, or equivalent experience
