What you'll do:
- Installing, aligning, and assembling mechanical components to precise tolerances.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Operating workshop machinery and specialised tools.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems.
- Conducting functional tests, leak detection, and pressure testing.
What you'll need:
- Proficient in the maintenance and troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic, rotating, and static mechanical systems with a marine, nuclear, heavy mechanical, or industrial environment.
- Proficient in laser alignment, vibration analysis, and system commissioning/decommissioning.
- Self-driven with a strong commitment to career development and continuous improvement.
- Holds a time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering/Fitting.
- Experienced in mentoring apprentices and sharing technical knowledge with peers.
