As a Payroll Administrator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that our people who undertake some of the most important work in defence, aerospace and engineering are paid accurately and on time, every time. Day-to-day, your work will directly support the smooth running of our operations, contributing to national security and the wellbeing of our workforce.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payrolls with accuracy, consistency and attention to detail.
- Maintain and update employee files and payroll-related data, including new starters and leavers.
- Input, check and reconcile payroll information using systems such as SAP.
- Produce and maintain weekly and monthly payroll reports.
- Complete final checks and reconciliations ahead of BACS payment runs.
- Carry out administrative duties related to payroll and data integrity.
Role details
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office and days working from home. You must be able to visit the office when required.
Essential experience
- Experience in payroll or strong corporate/administrative experience.
- Excellent administration skills with high-quality output.
- Strong accuracy, attention to detail and data integrity.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective organisational and planning abilities.
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
Security clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
