The role involves providing vital administrative support to the Fleet Department, helping to ensure the efficient delivery of fleet and transport services. Working closely with the Transport Manager and wider Fleet team, you'll play an important role in maintaining records, processing documentation and supporting day-to-day operational activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator looking to develop their career within a busy operational environment. You'll gain exposure to fleet operations and have the opportunity to learn new skills, including training to operate a counterbalance forklift.

Day-to-day, you will be:

  • Processing driver hours records, leave requests, timesheets and overtime charges.
  • Managing fuel card receipts, invoices and associated administration.
  • Processing orders and supplies through the COUPA purchasing system.
  • Maintaining electronic registers, spreadsheets and document management systems.
  • Carrying out monthly vehicle documentation checks and ensuring records are correctly archived.

This is a full-time role based onsite at Wainscott Camp, Chatham. Working hours are 37 hours per week: 07:30-16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30-12:30 on Friday. Hybrid working may be considered following successful completion of probation.

Essential experience:

  • Experience working in an office administration role.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple administrative tasks.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Full UK Category B Driving Licence is highly desirable due to the site location.

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
