The role

As a Maintenance System Operator, you'll provide vital maintenance system support to service delivery teams, helping to ensure work is effectively managed, tracked and completed to the highest standards.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

  • Operating work order systems to support the timely delivery of maintenance activities for customers
  • Supporting the procurement of spares, consumables and office supplies through established procurement processes
  • Maintaining and updating maintenance tracking systems to ensure accurate reporting and effective service delivery
  • Providing administrative support and collating data for customer and business reports
  • Identifying and implementing service improvements that enhance efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction

This role is based at Sellafield and is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 15:30. The team works an additional 30 minutes per day, equating to up to 13 additional days' leave per year.

Essential experience of the Maintenance System Operator

  • Using Microsoft Office applications confidently in a busy working environment
  • Working within a service delivery, operations support or customer-focused environment
  • Managing documentation, records or controlled information accurately
  • Building positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems is beneficial

Qualifications for the Maintenance System Operator

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in English
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in Mathematics
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in a Science subject

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national and able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
