The role involves designing, delivering and continuously improving Babcock’s rotational Engineering Graduate Programme across multiple disciplines. Day-to-day, you’ll create a structured, accreditation‑aligned pathway (e.g., IMechE, IET) that develops diverse early‑career talent and supports business priorities across the group, making a tangible impact on our capability today while building the engineering leadership of tomorrow.
- Design a structured, multi‑rotation graduate programme spanning key engineering areas, aligned to professional accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with engineering leaders to scope high‑value placements that meet development goals and business needs.
- Lead graduate recruitment, onboarding and cohort experience, ensuring inclusive, high‑quality candidate journeys.
- Coach and support graduates and their managers, providing clear progression frameworks and development resources.
- Measure outcomes and continuously improve the programme using feedback, analytics and accreditation requirements.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office and days working from home.
Essential experience:
- Proven experience in programme management, talent development or early careers coordination.
- Strong understanding of engineering disciplines and career pathways.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across functions and levels.
- Experience working with graduate programmes in a technical or engineering environment.
Qualifications:
- Degree Qualification, or equivalent Engineering background is required.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
