As a Vehicle Mechanic, you'll be part of a skilled team maintaining and repairing military vehicles and electrical equipment. Your work will directly support the UK's defence capability, giving you a career with real purpose and impact. From diagnostics to inspections, you'll ensure our fleet is ready for action while developing your own skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Day-to-day you'll be responsible for:
- Servicing, repairing and overhauling military vehicles and electrical systems
- Diagnosing, inspecting and assessing vehicles and associated equipment
- Ensuring correct use of stores and returning unused or faulty items
- Creating job cards and requesting materials using ERP (SAP) systems
- Completing documentation and test certificates to current standards
The successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role. This position involves manual work, which may include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
Working Hours & Location
This is a full‑time, permanent role based onsite at Leconfield. The working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week, with flexible working hours available. A relocation package may be available, subject to eligibility.
