This is an important administrative role within the Security Flight (Guardroom), supporting access control, site security, and compliance by managing passes and permits for personnel, contractors, and visitors.

The role:

  • Reporting to the Administration Manager, you'll support day to day security administration by issuing, controlling, and recording passes and permits.
  • You'll work closely with guardroom staff, vetting agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure all access requests are processed accurately and in line with MOD and company requirements.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities:

  • Issue permanent and temporary passes and permits, providing guidance on application processes.
  • Maintain secure control and custody of passes and permits prior to issue.
  • Carry out security vetting checks for dependants, contractors, and authorised personnel.
  • Liaise with UK vetting agencies to confirm and maintain valid security clearances.
  • Receive, record, and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence linked to passes and permits.

This is a full time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday (39 hours per week), based on site at RAF Halton.

Essential experience:

  • Strong administrative skills with good attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with sensitive information in a secure environment.
  • Competence using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Clear communication skills and a professional, customer‑focused approach.

Qualifications:

We value difference and don't have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education; provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn, then we would like to hear from you.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
