At Babcock, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. We're looking for an Avionics Senior Supervisor to join our Aviation business, based on site at RAF Valley (Holyhead). This is a senior, hands-on supervisory role where you'll lead avionics maintenance activity, ensure airworthiness standards are met, and provide technical leadership to a skilled team supporting operational flying.
The role involves:
- Supervising avionics maintenance activity, ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly, and to plan.
- Delegating and authorising tasks to maintain airworthiness and operational readiness.
- Providing technical leadership, guidance, and support to avionics personnel.
- Monitoring quality, safety, and risk, escalating issues and supporting investigations where required.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with approved technical information.
This is a full-time, permanent onsite role, working standard weekday hours.
Essential experience:
- A confident avionics supervisor with strong technical credibility.
- Proven ability to lead teams in a safety-critical, regulated environment.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
- A proactive approach to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognised avionics or aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification.
- Authorisation to carry out and oversee vital or independent inspections is desirable.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
