The role
As a Management Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of our Marine Division’s financial operations, supporting the growth agenda of our Liquid Gas Equipment (LGE) business. This is a role that makes a real difference-your insights will shape strategic decisions, drive performance, and help safeguard the future of national defence and global engineering. You’ll gain exposure to complex projects, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and develop your career in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with the leadership team, delivering monthly reporting and variance analysis.
- Manage the month-end process, analyse financial and non-financial data, and report results to key stakeholders.
- Support subsidiary entities with financial transactions and tax matters.
- Deliver financial controls and ensure timely, high-quality documentation.
- Maintain rolling forecasts for revenue, profit, and cash flow.
This is a full-time, permanent position based at Rosyth. Hybrid working patterns are available, with 3 days onsite and 37.5 hours per week.
Essential experience of the Management Accountant:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to manipulate complex data.
- Clear and concise financial communication skills.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge.
- Proven ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications for the Management Accountant:
- Qualified Accountant (preferably CIMA) with post-qualification experience.
