The role

As a Workshop Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Providing service support to the A330-200 Voyager aircraft based at Royal Air Force Brize Norton in Oxfordshire.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • General workshop tasks, compliance with Babcock and site policies on Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental.
  • You will also complete driving tasks as required and assisting ground handling operations, operate Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, including boom and scissor lifts, operate Forklifts,
  • Complete both IT and paperwork records and documents and assist with general tasks as directed by Line Management.

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Brize Norton.

Essential Experience Of The Workshop Technician

  • Extensive experience within a similar aircraft industry.
  • Experience with fleet ground support equipment and Specialist airfield vehicles, including maintenance and repair of vehicle fleet.

Qualifications For The Workshop Technician

  • Must be in possession of basic driving licence and Large Goods Vehicles licence C and D1. (Manual licence only)
  • Must have served a recognised apprenticeship as a mechanic/fitter and hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Check (SC) clearance for this role.
