The role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be utilising your commercial expertise in support of the client for a major decommissioning project. This offers an excellent opportunity to further develop within a quantity surveying discipline as part of a growing project.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for overseeing commercial activities, such as contract change and administration, amongst provision of commercial advice and guidance.
- Partner with Project Managers to deliver all commercial aspects, driving value and mitigating risk.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, aligning objectives and fostering collaborative goal-setting.
- Interpret head contract terms and conditions, ensuring effective flow-down to the subcontract supply chain and proactive compliance management.
- Provide expert commercial support across projects, managing activities such as bid governance, reviews, change management, and contractual notices.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and contractual obligations, liaising with Heads of Commercial and customers as required.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/onsite and two days working from home and is based at our Birchwood, Warrington hub.
Essential experience of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- In-depth knowledge of standard contract forms, including NEC3
- Ability to align business requirements with effective sourcing strategies
- Solid understanding of commercial administration within regulated industries
- Proven experience in Quantity Surveying with strong commercial acumen
- Expertise in supporting projects and delivering change using recognised methodologies
Qualifications for the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or have a relevant degree
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
