At Babcock, we work to create a safe and secure world. This role is for a Lifeguard at Bovington, Dorset.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional pool supervision and life‑saving cover, supporting military training activities while ensuring the highest standards of safety.
- Monitor the swimming pool and training activities at all times whilst on duty.
- Carry out poolside and changing room safety checks following swimming sessions.
- Ensure pool safety operating procedures are followed and maintained.
- Attend regular training sessions to maintain operational readiness.
- Maintain your fitness levels and keep your National Pool Lifeguard Qualification current.
Essential Experience
- Previous lifeguarding experience.
- Confident swimming ability and ability to pass a swimming assessment.
- Experience working within a safety‑focused environment.
- Strong observation skills and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
- Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (EDBS) security clearance.
