Overview

Role: Rail Track Assistant at Cadder Yard, Glasgow. Location: Glasgow, Scotland. Compensation: £26,550 + Benefits. Role Type: Full time / Permanent.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Track Renewals work as directed by the Senior Track Assistant / Manager.
  • Assist with auxiliary duties related to track renewals (e.g., taking delivery of materials, delivering materials to site, follow-up works for core renewal).
  • Take instructions and follow them in a safe manner.
  • Support the wider team.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

This role is full time working 35 hours per week and is based on site at Cadder Yard, Glasgow. Working hours will predominately be nights and weekends but could include day shifts and late shifts.

Essential experience

  • Ability to drive or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Ability to take instructions and follow them.
  • Health and safety conscious.
  • Proven experience on railway infrastructure is desirable.
  • No previous railway experience necessary as training will be provided.
