About the role
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll be part of a highly skilled team supporting the maintenance and readiness of military and civilian vehicles used by our defence customers. From diagnostics to repairs, your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely and efficiently making a direct impact on national defence and operational success.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
- Servicing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying military and civilian vehicles
- Diagnosing faults and inspecting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Carrying out equipment examinations to meet production requirements
- Working to technical specifications and safety standards
- Collaborating with your team to ensure operational readiness
Essential experience
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in hydraulics
- Experience working in a dealership or local garage
- Strong team player with adaptability and rapport-building skills
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Service and Repair or equivalent qualification
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
