Overview

Keep vital military engineering equipment ready when it matters most. As a Royal Engineer Equipment Specialist you will perform hands‑on inspections, certification and maintenance to support military readiness.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Maintain, inspect and prepare Royal Engineer Bridging equipment to meet operational and certification standards.
  • Operate material handling equipment across multiple variants.
  • Support inspections, certification activity and engineering assurance requirements.
  • Carry out repairs using hand tools, powered tools and bench‑mounted equipment.
  • Ensure full asset accountability while maintaining strict health and safety standards.

Position involves manual work including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods. Working onsite at Ashchurch, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.

Essential experience:

  • Experience operating material handling or manual handling equipment.
  • Experience working in practical, hands‑on environments.
  • Confidence working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety responsibilities.

Qualifications:
