The role involves strengthening the performance and resilience of complex supply chains that support critical submarine programmes. Working within procurement and supply chain, you’ll help build a deeper understanding of supplier networks, enabling better decision-making across major defence projects.
Day-to-day, you’ll have an opportunity to work at the forefront of supply chain risk management and data-driven analysis, contributing to improved visibility, resilience, and delivery across a highly regulated and high-impact environment. You’ll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders while developing your own expertise in supply chain operations, analytics, and programme support.
- Gathering and analysing supply chain data to build a clear picture of supplier networks and dependencies
- Collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to improve supply chain visibility and resilience
- Identifying supply chain risks and supporting mitigation strategies across programmes
- Supporting continuous improvement of supply chain mapping processes and tools
- Communicating insights and recommendations to stakeholders to support informed decision-making
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office/onsite.
Essential Experience- Understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, or procurement environments
- Experience working collaboratively across teams to achieve shared objectives
- Ability to analyse data and provide insight to support decision-making
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Good analytical and digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, business, or a related field - Desirable
- Working towards or interest in professional accreditation such as CIPS - desirable
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
