The role

As a Senior EC&I Engineer, you lead the design, integration and maintenance of high-integrity EC&I systems across nuclear facilities. Day-to-day, you’ll

  • Deliver high-quality administrative and coordination support across projects and teams.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting in line with company standards.
  • Monitor progress against deadlines and proactively resolve issues to keep tasks on track.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes.
  • This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week. Hybrid working patterns are available, with an expectation of three days on site. The role is based at one of our key locations – Moor Row (Cumbria), Warrington (Cheshire), Leicester (Leicestershire) or Bristol. Travel to customer sites may be required depending on project needs.

    Essential experience of the Senior EC&I Engineer:

  • Design and deliver EC&I systems in regulated environments
  • Apply nuclear safety standards such as IEC and BS EN
  • Work within cross-functional teams on complex engineering projects
  • Engage with regulators, clients and suppliers to resolve technical challenges
  • Produce and review technical documentation including specifications and safety case contributions
  • Qualifications for the Senior EC&I Engineer:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation or a related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (preferred)
  • Security Clearance
