At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Radiation Shielding Consultant at one of our key sites: Warrington (Cheshire), Leicester (Leicestershire), Newbury (Berkshire), or Bristol.
The role
As a Principal Shielding Consultant, you’ll influence the design and performance of cutting‑edge facilities, mentor the next generation of specialists, and shape best practice across the shielding discipline. It’s work that makes a genuine difference, contributing to energy security, national protection and the future of safe nuclear operations. This role will also help accelerate your own development, giving you access to high‑impact projects and opportunities to broaden your leadership capabilities.
Day-to-day, you’ll play a key role in developing, verifying and delivering high‑quality shielding strategies for some of the UK’s most nationally significant nuclear and defence programmes. This is an opportunity to apply deep technical expertise to complex engineering challenges that keep people, infrastructure and the environment safe.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, adaptable and can be delivered from various locations, and provides hybrid working arrangements with two days in the office per week at one of our key sites: Warrington (Cheshire), Leicester (Leicestershire), Newbury (Berkshire), or Bristol.
