At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Procurement Manager at our Babcock Technology Centre site.
The role
As a Procurement Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be a subject matter expert and supply chain lead for a large, complex, high value, classified project.
Day-to-day, you’ll personally lead major supplier spends and supplier performance issues to conclusion.
- Manage and develop internal relationships cross functionally
- Assist with supplier development
- Look at new supply chain solutions
- Write strategies for supply chain
Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Procurement Manager
- Previous experience in a senior procurement role
- Experience in engineering environment, ideally within Defence
Qualifications for the Procurement Manager
- Ideally hold CIPS level 4 or above
- Ideally degree qualified
