Production Planner – Electrical – Babcock International Group

Location: Plymouth, Devon

Compensation: £38,084.00 + Benefits

Role Overview

At Babcock, the Production Planner – Electrical plays a pivotal role in our submarine projects at Devonport, near Plymouth. The position supports both planning and execution phases, ensuring packages of work are correctly scoped, enabled and delivered on time. The role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based at the Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret customer requirements and link all elements of work to the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and track progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Process emergent and additional work in line with project schedules.
  • Manage enablement risks and drive progressive closeout to maintain project efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and resolve technical or conflicting project requirements.

Essential Experience

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across teams.
  • Awareness of project management tools and their application across the lifecycle.
  • Experience with the Project Delivery Framework and project planning principles.
  • Familiarity with estimating, production systems and SAP.
  • Strong understanding of planning and lifecycle processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering, Project or Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not essential with relevant experience).
  • APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) – desirable.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
