The role
As a Training Digitalisation Programme Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will lead a portfolio of strategically important programmes that transform and modernise training capability across our Land sector. This role is central to how Babcock builds future capability, supports sustainable growth and aligns training delivery with long‑term organisational priorities.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities:
- Leading the training capability programme, ensuring projects are clearly scoped, planned and delivered to time, cost and quality
- Delivering robust programme governance, risk management and control across multiple workstreams
- Producing clear programme reporting, dashboards and reporting packs for senior stakeholders
- Coordinating resources across teams to ensure delivery plans remain achievable and realistic
- Building strong stakeholder engagement through clear communication and aligned delivery plans
The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, full time at 37 hours per week. The role is primarily home‑based, with regular travel required to training sites across the South to support on‑site delivery.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience in project or programme management
- Experience developing communication plans and leading stakeholder engagement
- Experience identifying, managing and reporting programme risks
- Experience producing structured programme reporting and governance packs
- Experience using project management software, such as Microsoft Project
Qualifications:
- APM or equivalent recognised project management qualification
- Other project or programme management certifications would be advantageous
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
