The Role
As a Transformation Programme Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our Mission Systems transformation journey. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a complex SAP integration programme across our business, driving operational excellence and enabling growth. Your work will make a tangible difference to national security and defence, while accelerating your own career development in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll play a key role in building strong relationships across both our sector and wider Group teams as part of implementing our ambitious strategy. You’ll drive and control change and the role will provide high levels of visibility and responsibility to deliver.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
- Driving effective risk management to minimise exposure and ensure successful outcomes.
- Leading the delivery of transformation programmes, ensuring cost, time, and quality targets are met.
- Managing end-to-end project lifecycles, from requirements capture to business case development.
- Identifying and controlling interdependencies across multiple projects.
- Building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders across a matrix organisation.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Transformation Programme Manager
- Experience in waterfall methodology (+Agile is desirable)
- Knowledge and application of project controls.
- Senior stakeholder engagement experience
- Background in ERP deployment/usage, SAP strongly desirable
- Programme manager with considerable experience in delivery of transformation programmes within a relevant complex project environment
- IT Change experience, technical change, or business change experience in a complex engineering environment.
Qualifications for the Transformation Programme Manager
- Agile Practitioner certification.
- Chartered Project Manager status (advantageous).
- APM PMQ or equivalent.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
