The role
As a Training Designer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Shape the future by applying your expertise to design transformative training strategies, foster innovation, and enhance workforce potential at Devonport Dockyard. Day-to-day, you’ll take on a crucial role in executing the foundational stages of activity within a systems approach to training, shaping the framework for effective and impactful learning solutions.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in conducting initial activities within a systems approach to training.
- Develop impactful training strategies to enhance workforce capabilities at Devonport Dockyard.
- Leverage innovative solutions to drive excellence and create efficiencies in training delivery.
- Facilitate foundational stages of training design and implementation effectively.
- Collaborate to shape effective learning frameworks and elevate workforce potential.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential Experience Of The Training Designer
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong IT capabilities.
- Relevant technical or business experience in complex engineering or educational settings.
- Knowledge of compliance training and defence industry standards/regulations.
- Experience in the defence sector to enhance business orientation - Desirable.
Qualifications For The Training Designer
- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 / ONC in a technical discipline or similar, however, consideration will be given to applicants with transferable experience in a relevant subject or previous role.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
