As a Safety Engineer at Babcock, you will support the safety of nuclear and radiological facilities at Devonport Royal Dockyard, helping to safeguard the Royal Navy and contribute to national defence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on nuclear and radiological safety.
- Support safety case development for the 9 Dock Design and Safety Engineering team.
- Advise on safety analysis underpinning Devonport Royal Dockyard Limited safety cases.
- Contribute to the transformation and sustainability of Devonport Dockyard.
- Build and maintain knowledge of submarine systems and reactor plant performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering or Science discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
- Experience in safety engineering or design.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Knowledge of submarine systems (advantageous).
- Experience within the nuclear sector (advantageous).

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance. Eligibility may be affected by birth, nationality, citizenship and residency.
