Role Overview

As a Finance Business Partnering Manager at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site you will support operational and programme teams with high‑quality financial insight and control. You will drive performance, support decision‑making and ensure projects remain financially robust and aligned to strategic objectives. The role offers strong development potential and exposure to senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Providing financial insight and analysis to support business and programme decision‑making
  • Managing forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting activities
  • Partnering with operational teams to monitor performance and identify risks and opportunities
  • Supporting cost control, variance analysis and financial governance processes
  • Driving continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting standards

Essential Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in finance business partnering within a complex organisation
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights to non‑finance stakeholders
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience working in a regulated, engineering or project‑based environment

Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline – desirable

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
