Help keep vital aircraft flying safely and support critical aviation operations. At Babcock, you will support essential operations across our Aviation business at RAF Wittering, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
Responsibilities
- Deliver aircraft maintenance in line with regulatory, safety and company requirements.
- Lead and support technicians and inspectors during maintenance activities.
- Conduct fault diagnosis and problem‑solving within a technical engineering environment.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with legislation, procedures and customer expectations.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, the Site Operations Manager and wider stakeholders to maintain operational output.
Essential Experience
- Knowledge of MOD Engineering procedures and documentation.
- Supervisory experience within a civil or military aviation environment.
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- CAA Part 66 B1.2 Licence (essential).
- B3 Licence (accepted).
- Human Factors qualification (desirable).
- Recognised SHE qualification (desirable).
- Defence industry experience (desirable).
- Type Rating on Grob 115E aircraft and Lycoming 360 engines (desirable).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role. Many positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
