The role
As an Internal Training Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of driving excellence in training and development across our business unit. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to influence how our teams grow, learn, and deliver. You’ll be part of a professional team designing and delivering impactful learning programmes that support continuous improvement and career progression.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
- Coaching and mentoring trainers and staff to enhance performance and professional development.
- Supporting contract teams with expert guidance on learning and development strategies.
- Delivering accredited and non-accredited programmes including AET, CET, CAVA, and IQA qualifications.
- Ensuring compliance with teaching and assessment standards through ongoing support and training.
- Designing and delivering technical, behavioural, and leadership learning programmes.
This role is based onsite at Lyneham, and the set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week. Hybrid working patterns are available. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites will be expected.
Essential experience of the Internal Training Specialist:
- Proven experience in education/training quality assurance.
- Must have a background in delivering training within apprenticeship or commercial environment and must have previous experience in delivering AET, CET and CAVA.
- Background in delivering training within apprenticeship or commercial environments.
- Knowledge of DSAT (Defence Systems Approach to Training) process is an advantage.
- Knowledge working in a military environment would be an advantage.
Qualifications for the Internal Training Specialist:
- Level 5 or above teaching qualification.
- Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
- Level 3 Assessor qualification (CAVA).
- Level 4 IQA qualification - Desirable.
- Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring qualification is desirable.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
