The role:

  • As a Reliability Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the performance and long‑term supportability of complex engineering systems.
  • You’ll work at the heart of Integrated Logistics Support, applying reliability, maintainability and availability principles to influence design decisions, reduce risk and maximise operational effectiveness.
  • Day-to-day, you’ll build upon proven communication skills to convey complex technical details to a wide range of stakeholders developing domain knowledge to resolve problems and support the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Function.
  • Producing reliability, maintainability and availability analysis to support complex systems and assets.
  • Developing reliability and maintainability performance claims, arguments and supporting evidence in line with defined standards.
  • Influencing engineering design through modelling and analysis to improve reliability, availability and ease of support.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across engineering, project and customer teams.
  • Contributing to stakeholder programmes, working groups and continuous improvement activities.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Reliability Engineer:

  • Proven engineering knowledge and experience within a complex or regulated environment.
  • Ability to analyse complex engineering problems and present clear, accessible outputs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders positively.
  • A proactive approach, working autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Motivation to own and shape your long‑term career development.

Qualifications for the Reliability Engineer:

  • A STEM qualification, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of formal education.
  • Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
