The role
As a Bid Coordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You bring people, information and timelines together to shape persuasive proposals that help protect the nation, accelerate clean energy, and support the UK’s defence, aerospace and engineering ambitions.
Day‑to‑day you’ll be required to:
- Coordinate multiple bid work packages and inputs, maintaining plans, actions and dependencies to keep everything on track.
- Drive bid governance, scheduling and facilitating gate reviews and ensuring deliverables meet defined standards.
- Develop clear bid matrices, trackers and document registers that enable fast decisions and high‑quality submissions.
- Lead internal meetings and liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels, turning ambiguity into clear next steps.
- Report on progress, risks and mitigations, producing concise updates for the Bid Manager and programme leadership.
This is a full‑time role, 37 hours per week, based at one of our key locations: Warrington (Cheshire), Leicester (Leicestershire), Newbury (Berkshire) or Bristol. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Essential experience of the Bid Coordinator:
- Demonstrable understanding of the tender cycle, including the bid matrix and review process to identify viable opportunities.
- Proven experience in a deadline‑driven environment, working to goals and milestones in a timely manner.
- Highly organised with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
Qualifications for the Bid Coordinator:
- There are no mandatory formal qualifications specified, although APMP Foundation Certification would be advantageous. If you can demonstrate the essential experience above, we’d like to hear from you.
