As a Laboratory Quality Manager, you are leading quality assurance across accredited laboratory operations within a highly regulated, high‑hazard nuclear environment. Your expertise protects safety, ensures compliance, and enables confident decision‑making across complex programmes. This is a permanent role, 37 hours per week, based full time at Greeson Court in Moor Row, Cumbria. Flexible working options can be discussed where business needs allow.
Day‑to‑day Responsibilities
- Leading and prioritising quality management activities using risk and opportunity management tools
- Providing expert advice and guidance on the flow‑down of quality requirements across the supply chain
- Investigating quality events effectively, ensuring lessons learned are identified and shared
- Supporting business winning activities, contributing to tender reviews and quality input
- Coaching and influencing teams at all levels to deliver quality plans and performance targets
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in quality management within nuclear or another highly regulated, high‑hazard industry
- Demonstrable leadership of ISO 17025 accredited management systems
- Strong experience conducting and leading quality audits
- A track record of influencing stakeholders and driving continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent qualification supported by relevant experience
- Approved Auditor qualification or demonstrable auditing capability
- Professional quality qualifications are advantageous
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
