Lead safe, compliant avionics maintenance in a regulated aviation environment. This senior, hands-on supervisory role involves directing the maintenance team, ensuring airworthiness standards are met, and providing technical leadership to support operational flying.
Responsibilities
- Supervise avionics maintenance activity, ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly, and to plan.
- Delegate and authorise tasks to maintain airworthiness and operational readiness.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to avionics personnel.
- Monitor quality, safety, and risk, escalating issues and supporting investigations where required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with approved technical information.
Essential Experience
- Confident avionics supervisor with strong technical credibility.
- Proven ability to lead teams in a safety-critical, regulated environment.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
- Proactive approach to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognised avionics or aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification.
- Authorisation to carry out and oversee vital or independent inspections is desirable.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
