The role:

As a Training Support Administrator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play an important role in keeping our engineering training running smoothly and effectively. You’ll help ensure that training records, assessments and documentation are accurate, organised and compliant. It’s a position that gives you the chance to support the development of future engineering talent while building your own career within a purposeful and forward‑looking defence organisation.

Day‑to‑day you’ll be:

  • Producing, collating and securely managing examination papers and assessment materials.
  • Inputting and validating trainee assessment results and producing mark reports.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic archives for assessments, scripts and course documentation.
  • Preparing materials for external verification and supporting audits and validation visits.
  • Providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the Training Support Group.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at HMS Sultan.

Essential experience:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with a high level of integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good customer‑facing skills.
  • Experience working in a military environment is desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and ICT.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
