The role

As a Senior Planner, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex, high-value infrastructure projects that support the UK’s defence and energy capabilities. Working within a collaborative joint venture environment, you will develop and manage integrated project schedules, ensuring robust planning standards and accurate forecasting across all stages of delivery. This role is full time and based at our Glasgow site, with hybrid working patterns available.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Create and manage work breakdown structures and organisational breakdown structures
  • Update schedules to reflect forecast dates and estimates at completion
  • Perform earned value analysis to monitor project performance
  • Support programme leadership and mentor junior planners within the team

Essential experience of the Senior Planner

  • Demonstrable expertise in Primavera P6 planning software
  • Experience within construction or engineering projects in highly regulated environments
  • Proven experience working within a project controls or planning team
  • Strong understanding of planning methodologies and schedule management
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary and joint venture teams

Qualifications for the Senior Planner

  • A recognised project management or engineering qualification, or equivalent experience
  • APM accreditation or equivalent is desirable
  • Knowledge of NEC4 contracts and nuclear sector experience would be advantageous

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Standard (SC) security clearance for this role.
