Shape the future of defence and engineering through smarter procurement. As a Senior Buyer at Rosyth, you will support complex engineering and defence programmes by delivering efficient, high‑quality procurement services. You will report to the Operational Procurement Manager and lead the execution of the requisition‑to‑pay process across a defined scope, ensuring value, performance and compliance at every stage.
Responsibilities
- Managing the end‑to‑end requisition‑to‑pay process, including order placement, expediting and post‑order management
- Driving improvements in procurement performance, lead times, delivery metrics and invoice accuracy
- Developing and managing supplier relationships, including performance, risk and opportunity planning
- Producing ITT documentation, evaluations and robust contractual agreements
- Collaborating closely with Category Management and Project Procurement teams to support business priorities
Essential Experience
- Working as a procurement professional within a complex or regulated environment
- Using ERP systems such as IFS, SAP or Oracle, including e‑procurement tools
- Managing contracts, negotiations and commercial terms and conditions
- Prioritising multiple requirements with strong attention to detail
- Engaging confidently with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Degree‑level qualification or equivalent professional experience
- MCIPS, studying towards MCIPS, or an equivalent professional qualification (desirable but not essential)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
