Role Overview: Shape the future of naval engineering through world‑class project planning. At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Project Planner at our Rosyth site.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, baseline and maintain integrated project schedules, ensuring alignment with scope, resources, cost and milestones.
  • Update and analyse schedules, including critical path, progress, forecasting and estimates at completion.
  • Produce resource‑ and cost‑loaded schedules to support financial reporting, integrated business planning and earned value management.
  • Support and facilitate planning workshops, rolling‑wave planning activities and alignment with suppliers and partners.
  • Provide planning insight for risk, scenario and change impact analysis to inform decision‑making and reporting.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience in network scheduling and project planning.
  • Practical knowledge of Primavera P6; experience in Microsoft Project or similar packages is also valuable.
  • Experience working across the full project lifecycle.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to respond to changing priorities.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent professional experience that demonstrates knowledge of project planning principles.
  • Membership of or alignment with a recognised professional or industry body is advantageous.

Security Clearance: Candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
