The Role
As an ER Specialist, you’ll work collaboratively with senior colleagues to develop proactive and innovative interventions, shaping best practices and driving the people plan.
Day-to-day, you’ll be the first point of contact for employee-related queries.
- Be the first point of contact for all employee relations queries
- Identify complex ER cases and escalate where necessary
- Lead absence management, working with line managers to conduct welfare meetings and find suitable resolutions
- Support line managers in formal processes
- Record and collate all ER casework, ensuring records are up-to-date
This role is full-time, 37 hours per week with hybrid working arrangements. Agile working may be available, considering fairness and business needs. Flexible options like part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing are considered; inquire at interview.
Experience required
- Previous experience in a relevant HR role
- Experience in ER within a unionized environment
- Understanding of employment law and legislation
- Ability to develop strong relationships
