The role
- As an Engineer, you’ll work on some of the UK’s most complex and high‑profile engineering programmes, helping to ensure that submarines remain safe, available and ready to deploy when needed.
- Day-to-day, you’ll build upon your proven communication skills and deliver engineering tasks that ensure submariners and submarines go to sea safely.
- Delivering engineering tasks that ensure submariners and submarines go to sea safely.
- Conducting technical investigations across in‑service and future submarine platforms.
- Reviewing and approving technical documentation including calculations, analysis, drawings and reports.
- Evaluating technical issues and developing proposals, investigations or engineering solutions.
- Supporting or driving Integrated Logistic Support solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

- Engineering experience, or a strong desire to start or grow a career in engineering.
- Demonstrable communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications for the Engineer
- A recognised STEM qualification, or relevant experience in lieu of formal education.
- Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
