At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Mechanical Technician, at our Torness Power Station site.
The Role
- As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll provide support to EDF to enhance the lifetime of the power station and represent Cavendish Nuclear.
- Participate in the planning and preparation of works for Mechanical maintenance delivery as per EDF requirements.
- Carry out work in accordance with the work packs and best practice and applicable trade/legal standards.
- Comply with any health and safety requirements of the work pack or work area.
- Carry out safety and behavioural observation.
- Comply with quality requirements of the work pack.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Torness Power Station, East Lothian.
Essential Experience of the Mechanical Technician
- Technical fault finding.
- Procedure/task instruction compliance.
- Safe systems of work.
- Compliance within regulated industry.
Qualifications for the Mechanical Technician
- Apprenticeship in relevant discipline preferred although will consider experience in a similar field.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
