The role
As a CNC Programmer, you’ll deliver complex CNC machining programs for large CNC turning and milling machine tools. You’ll be part of the CNC Programming Team within the Manufacturing Engineering function, supporting the wider Production and Project Management teams. You will:
- Train and develop team members to an appropriate level
- Determine Health and Safety requirements for all associated processes
- Support and manage programmers’ PDRs
- Ensure the programming section is using the latest software revisions
- Liaise with the IT department to ensure all software is maintained
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth.
Essential Experience
- Experience in high/low volume production within an industrial environment as a CNC Programmer
- Proficiency in offline/online CNC programming software such as EdgeCAM, Delcam, MasterCAM, or Vericut
- Demonstrated capability in up to 5-axis CNC programming
- Strong communication skills as part of an integrated project team, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to gather, analyse, and solve CNC machining problems using recognised problem-solving techniques
