Job Summary
Shape the future of nuclear consultancy and help deliver a safer, more secure world. As Business Manager at our Gloucester site, you will own the Personal Services Agreement account with EDF, acting as the focal point for relationship management, opportunity development and delivery assurance. This 37‑hour per week role is based at Gloucester Business Park, EDF’s headquarters, with the option for an early finish on Fridays.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Own day‑to‑day management and performance of the EDF Personal Services Agreement account, including financial delivery and forecasting.
- Develop and nurture trusted senior relationships with EDF to understand strategy, priorities, and future programmes of work.
- Lead consultancy projects and multidisciplinary resources to deliver outputs on time, cost and quality.
- Drive a healthy pipeline of opportunities, positioning Cavendish Nuclear for future work and long‑term growth.
- Manage bid preparation and proposal development in collaboration with the consultancy proposals team.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in a consultancy or client‑facing role where work is independently identified, shaped, secured and delivered.
- Strong background in strategy development, delivery management and technical or professional leadership.
- Demonstrable experience writing or reviewing proposals, contributing to estimates and supporting bidding or tendering activity.
- Track record of managing customer relationships within complex, regulated environments.
- Experience leading work at the early stages of the project lifecycle, including pre‑studies, studies or concept design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s honours degree or equivalent in a science or engineering‑related discipline.
- Chartered status within a relevant professional discipline, or actively working towards it.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance.
