Job Summary

Plan, challenge and shape the delivery of complex defence programmes. As a Project Planner within the Mission Systems business, you support the successful delivery of complex, high‑value defence programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, own and maintain integrated project schedules, including baselines, scenario planning and performance measurement.
  • Apply Earned Value and schedule performance techniques to provide insight, challenge delivery assumptions and support informed decision‑making.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Control Account Managers, engineers and customers to ensure schedules accurately reflect scope, progress and risk.
  • Support effective project governance through accurate reporting, change control and schedule assurance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning practices across the Mission Systems portfolio.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Project Planner or in a similar planning or project controls role within a complex project environment.
  • Experience with Primavera P6.
  • Strong experience creating and managing integrated project schedules and baselines.
  • Practical experience of Earned Value Management and performance reporting.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
