The role:
As a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll lead the delivery of strategic sourcing and supplier management activity within the Through Life Equipment Support (TLES) business. This hands-on role supports the operational delivery of the White Fleet service contract as it enters its next phase under the Phoenix 3 agreement. You’ll have the opportunity to influence supplier relationships, drive operational improvements, and contribute to a global procurement function that leverages best-in-class systems and networks.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories such as Vehicle Leasing, Hire, and Transport Services.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes and ensure compliance with public procurement regulations and Babcock governance.
- Act as the UK MOD’s procurement agent, managing complex sourcing and contract activities.
- Negotiate supplier terms and conditions to manage risk and deliver value.
- Drive operational improvements and maintain strong supplier relationships.
This role is full time working 37.5 hours per week and is based on site, in Bristol.
Essential experience of the Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist:
- Proven experience in an end-to-end procurement role, including leading tenders and supplier negotiations.
- Strong commercial understanding of supplier contracts and risk management.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage conflict and challenging situations.
