Role Overview
At Babcock, you will support critical data movement within a highly regulated environment, ensuring national security and operational readiness.
Responsibilities
- Carry out electronic data transfers, including importing, exporting and moving files between IT systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot issues, resolve data transfer errors and support the smooth running of file workflows.
- Ensure all file transfer processes meet security requirements, including verification and anti-virus scanning.
- Meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by ensuring timely and accurate file movement.
- Maintain documentation, policies and procedures to support consistent and compliant operations.
Essential Experience
- Experience supporting Windows-based IT servers and client systems.
- Experience carrying out IT administrative tasks such as file transfers, anti-virus scans and audits.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint (highly desirable).
- Experience using core IT applications and services including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Experience using IT systems with strong attention to detail.
- Additional IT training, certifications or practical experience supporting IT operations – Desirable.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information security clearance. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
