Role Overview
As an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will have the opportunity to grow and develop within a supportive team working in the submarine defence market. Day-to-day, the Entry Level Mechanical Engineer will work within a supportive team environment, where you will use your skills and enthusiasm to develop, integrate, and test mission critical systems, at the cutting edge of the domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities.
- Provide a technical interface with internal and external stakeholders at a detailed level.
- Carry out technical investigations and analysis to provide data for problem assessment/resolution and for design of improvements.
- Produce, review, verify outputs including calculations, analyses, technical reports, technical specifications and method statements.
- Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
Essential Experience
- Mechanical design experience.
- An analytical mindset and creative approach to problems.
- The capability to understand and trade‑off the various different aspects of a technical challenge.
Qualifications
- A relevant engineering degree or HND/HNC.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
