The role
As a Commercial Advisor, you’ll help shape commercially sound decisions that keep vital nuclear programmes moving—supporting clean energy generation and defence projects that protect lives. You bring structure and pace to contracts, bids and supplier relationships, ensuring we deliver value, manage risk and meet our customers’ needs.
Day‑to‑day you’ll be required to:
- Lead the commercial management of orders from site teams, working closely with spares and kitting to ensure timely, compliant delivery.
- Deliver robust governance across contracts and bids—drafting, reviewing and managing terms to protect value and manage risk.
- Negotiate commercial arrangements and build positive, productive relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor performance, margins and change—producing clear, data-led reports and recommendations for the Commercial Manager.
- Improve processes and ways of working, sharing best practice across projects and sites.
This is a permanent, full‑time role working 37 hours per week, based at one of our key locations Warrington (Cheshire), Leicester (Leicestershire) or Bristol. Hybrid working patterns are available, and you typically spend two to three days per week in the office.
Essential experience of the Commercial Advisor:
- Generalist commercial experience within a complex, regulated or engineering environment.
- Track record of delivering robust commercial management on contracts and bids.
- Demonstrable ability to negotiate commercial terms and sustain positive working relationships.
- Experience supporting order management and working with spares and kitting teams.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
